About TSG: Fitness tools for the spiritually active!

"Connect to your sense of well-being and feel good about being you!"

"Imagine a world where everyone was willing and able to give their very best, for themselves and each other."

At The Soul Gym, we produce well-being tools, fitness tools, for the spiritually active.  By spiritually active, we mean people working on their whole self.  We promote and resource a practice of well-being that fills our personal wells with life-force energy, the source of our strength, power and creative potential.

We are delighted to see so many well-being resources in the world today.  Our special contribution is the bite-sized task, in a pick & mix format.  When people are already feeling overwhelmed, they need baby steps to regain their energy and perspective.  And those baby steps need to feel good as well as achievable.

So we turned 200+ hours of our well-being training materials, developed over two decades, into bite-sized activities covering lots of learning styles and preferences. If you pick one thing and do it consistently, that is a well-being practice.  Upgrade to 2-3 practices when you can.

"We are not simply consumers of other people's stories.  We are creators."

The Soul Gym is also the space for Active Craft Poetry, a creation of Angelia Linton, that fuses poetry writing with well-being principles.

We create safe and welcoming spaces for Citizen Poets to shape and share their own stories.  This includes providing free of charge community poetry classes in an Islington library, twice a month, from June 2023.

"Holding a vision where everyone is a radiating point of light, hope, love, inspiration and courage."

The Soul Gym is the brainchild and heart-child of Angelia Linton, a veteran trainer, coach and learning designer; Master Practitioner of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming); and Masters Graduate in Education, Training and Development.

Her personal motto is:

Each one, teach one.
Reach back,
Give back,
Lift as you climb.

About Lia: An interior journey poet and writer

AKA  "The Poetry Pusher" & "Mother of Stories"

Mother of Stories

"Lia has recently found out that within the African community, a lot of significance is attached to the name that someone is given and its meaning. Being of Afro-Caribbean descent and curious as to what her own name meant, Angelia looked it up and found that in Greek mythology, Angelia is the daughter of Hermes, and the goddess of messages and proclamations.

As Lia writes stories and poetry as well as training booklets, she finds resonance with this. Lia prefers a more modern 'Mother of Stories' title, as this is more than a name to her. It is a mission. She wants to help people shape and share their stories in safe and welcoming spaces. She wants to encourage and support Citizen Poets."

From an interview about Lia's May 2023 Poetry Writing Taster Workshop, for Mental Health Awareness Week, in partnership with Age UK Islington.
